Amazing Future: The NAVIgoid System Allows People To Guide A Robot Using Body Movements

Did you ever have the urge to be in two places at the same time and wished someone would just hurry up and invent a teleportation machine? Well someone invented something even better, in the future, you’ll be able to be in more than one place at the same time, all that with the aid of robots. These mechanical machines will allow us to interact with friends and family in far away places as if we were standing right there, in front of them. How is this amazing thing possible you ask? It’s actually quite easy… Japanese engineer, Tsetserukou, teamed up with computer science and engineering professor, Jun Miura and Sugiyama Junichi, and together they invented a robot which they named “NAVIgoid”. This intelligent computer enables a so called “human controller” to guide the robot remotely, using nothing else but bare torso movements. The human then receives feedback from the robot, thus accomplishing the “teleporation” process.

Strangest Stuffed Animals In The World

Hobbies… we all have them, whether we know it or not. Some of us collect stamps, or coins, others try pottery, or something more exciting, but some hobbies are extremely weird. Taxidermy, is on all accounts, a weird hobby and as if stuffing dead animals weren’t creepy enough, Enrique Gomez De Molina has taken taxidermy to a whole different level, more of a Frankenstein-ish level. Enrique creates shocking hybrid sculptured of stuffed animals, and as mythical as they may seem, the creations are the creepiest thing you’ve seen yet. Imagine two swan heads merged, stuck on the body of a goat… you can’t imagine that? Well then try imagining a squirrel, joint at the hip with a crab, shocking creatures indeed. Largest Snowmen Ever Built

Meet Olympia, she’s the biggest snowman, or shall we say, snowwoman ever built. The record was set by Jim Mann and his crew at Mt. Mann Jewelers in 2008 in Bethel, Maine.  Olympia SnowWoman was  122 feet 1 inch (37.21 m) tall, and weighted 13,000,000 lbs. of snow…now that’s a lot of snow! The previous record was, surprisingly also set in Maine, but this time,  we’re talking about a snowman built back in  February 1999. The snowman was named “Angus, King of the Mountain” (he was a mountain, if you ask me). It had 113 feet 7 inches (34.62 m) height, and weighed more than 9,000,000 pounds (4,080,000 kg). Now kids, you shouldn’t try this at home, cause a Frosty as huge as these two… well just imagine how much snow you’d need for it. Field Marshall The Largest Bull In The World

Meet Field Marshall… he’s 6ft 5ins tall and he’s still growing, that interesting aspect makes this lovely bull, the largest in his species. The colossal bull was declared the biggest bull bullock in Great Britain, after he was measured and weighed on a scale which is normally used for lorries. The six-year-old animal now weighs more than 3,500lbs, twice as much as any normal fully-grown cow of his breed. Field Marshall is now heavier than a Mini Cooper which weighs 2,458lbs, and a BMW 3 series which tips the scales at just 3,053lbs.

Ordos Museum – Strangest Building In The World

MAD Chinese architects? Well you might be tempted to say that, but guess what… they’re actually geniuses, even though they work for a a firm named “MAD”. This impressive and also extremely odd building was built in the city of Ordos, which is practically in the middle of nowhere, also known as the Gobi desert. The entire blob shaped building is covered in metal tiles which were built especially to be resistant to the frequently occurring sandstorms. This building is as crazy on the inside, as it is on the outside. The galleries are actually smaller blobs interconnected by bridges (does “Inception” ring any bells?). Only six years ago, instead of this weird building, all one could find was sand… now, the Ordos Museum has turned an under populated area, in to a major tourist attraction.

Amazing Solo On Ice Drums

Here’s an awesome set of drums, and after listening to this guy play them, your immediate reaction will most certainly be “Wow”. what makes these drums so special, is the fact that they are completely manufactured out of ice. Even though the guy is playing on a set of frozen water, the sound is absolutely identical to the one made by real drums. The grand finale is totally unexpected… the drums break and leave us only with the sensation that water is indeed surprising.
