This Is The Largest Insect In The World

You thought cockroaches are gross? Take a look at this “little” critter… the giant insect you see in these pictures is the largest in the world, and it’s so big, that it can eat a carrot like a regular Bugs Bunny. 53 year-old Mark Moffett found the huge creature well hidden, in a tree on Little Barrier Island, in New Zealand. The giant weta weighs the equivalent of three mice, and it has a wingspan of seven inches. The scientist picked her up with amazement and fed her a carrot, which she would’ve practically devoured if the humans hadn’t been so very concerned with the insect’s indigestion.

Weird Octopus Walking On Land

It’s not everyday that you get to see an octopus in a river… but then again, what’s weirder: an octopus in a river, or an octopus going out of the river and starting to walk on the land, with absolutely no water to assure oxygen for it? This little critter literally walked out of its natural environment, but even hough this seems surprising, you should know that these creatures are actually very smart. Octopuses in captivity actually escape their watery prisons with alarmingly frequency. They would let themselves caught on purpose and wait for the perfect timing to escape, thus being found on floors, or next to the book shelves or other weird places, where the last thing you’d expect to see is an octopus. Luckily, this family managed to catch the whole thing on tape.

Crazy Car Accident Nearly Kills A Man

How fast could you run if an out of control car was heading straight at you while you were safely walking on the sidewalk? A man in South Africa actually escaped from a situation such as this one. He was minding his own business when, out of the blue, he saw a car which was out of control, coming towards him with humongous speed. The man managed to keep calm, and literally run for his life, thus managing to escape from, what seemed to be a deadly situation. Yes, you heard right, Carl Griffiths has no lady problems, and it’s all due to his 14.5ins long feet. According to him, all of the midwifes tales about the shoe size being proportional to the size of a man’s … other limb, are all 100% true, and he has had 30 flings to back up that affirmation. But having the largest feet in England has its downsides, Carl has to have his shoes shipped from the United States, because no one else in england has feet as big as his.

Mysterious Dead Body Of An Alien Found In Brazil

The remains of an alleged dead alien were discovered somewhere in Itajuba, Brazil. Witness have declared that during the night, out of the blue, their dog started barking and wouldn’t stop until the morning when the owners went out to see what had happened. After letting the dog lead them to wherever the problem was, the couple made an amazing, yet shocking discovery: a dead alien was just laying there in the grass. Unfortunately, they people who made the discovery took no action, they didn’t alert any authorities, they simply just left it there, on the ground. The alien had two toes on each foot and three fingers on each hand, this weird creature measured 45 cm.

Meet Mandy Sellars, her appearance might shock you at first, but you should know that apart from her continuously growing legs, the lady above is a very normal person. Unfortunately, her oversizes legs continue to grow, despite the fact that doctors can not explain why. Mandy Sellars has an extremely rare and unexplainable condition: her legs keep getting bigger and bigger. “Brinicle” Ice Finger Of Death In The Antarctic Ocean

Death’s finger has finally been caught on tape as it descended in the cold waters of the Antarctic Ocean and imprisoned in a tomb of ice, every living creature on the bottom of the ocean. How is this possible you ask? Well, specialists took advantage of moder timelapse cameras and managed to record salt water being excluded from the sea ice and sinking. The so called “brinicle” froze everything it met in its way, including sea urchins and starfish, just like death was strolling the ocean in search of its next victim. The unusual phenomenon is caused by cold, sinking brine, which is more dense than the rest of the water. It forms a brinicle as it contacts warmer water below, resembling a human finger.

Bosco Verticale – First Ever Vertical Forest

Have you noticed how we keep cutting off trees and entire forests, and instead of planting more, all we do is plant cement? Well, finally a team of architects came up with a solution that blends forests with cement. How’s that possible you ask? Well, it’s actually pretty ingenious, instead of planting trees horizontally, they decided to plant them vertically. Bosco Verticale (or Vertical Forest) is a project for metropolitan reforestation, which means that they want to restore the balance which was once lost due to the severe deforestation, in order to create space for more buildings. Practically, the team intends to build an apartment building, and each floor will have balcony planted with trees that are able to respond to the city’s weather
