Meet Omar, the biggest and longest cat in the world! He is 14kg, 1,20 meters and three times the size of your average feline! Omar is a king-to-be as he will be crowned the longest cat in the world.
Omar apparently is the biggest and largest cat in the world. He weighs 14 kg while an average adult cat weighs between 3.6kg and 4.5kg and this ‘little one’ is about to be crowned king of all cats after became famous on Instagram.
His owner, Stephy made Omar an Instagram account and the giant cat had an unbelievable success, 8 million followers in just two weeks! After the incredible success all over the internet, Stephy was contacted by Guinness World Records, who told her that Omar could be the longest cat in the world.
Omar breed is Maine Coon, so as the official record holder who measures 1,18 meters and was crowned in October 2015. Stephy and her partner Rowan Lawrence got Omar to live with them in Melbourne, Australia when he was a kitten, but now he is a supersized feline that has lots of personalities and leaves lots of hair around the house.
Even if Omar is a huge feline, he still does ‘cat things’ like sitting in boxes, sleeping, playing in the backyard, just living the cat life! Stephy said that even he is too big to fit in small spaces ” he is really good at opening doors, sliding doors, kitchen cupboards, shower doors, wardrobes; he’ll get past all of them” .
