This distant relative of the piranhas has a terrible reputation, it’s known for it’s lethal attacks on the unsuspecting fishermen in Papua New Guinea. The killer fish bites men straight in the groins, and most victims die due to severe bleeding. Locals named this scary fish “the Ballcutter” and it is said that it’s powerful enough to come up on wading anglers and rip their manhood clean off… ouch that’s gotta hurt. On two occasions, the victims died, while surviver of such attacks have been left permanently mutilated.

Jeremy Wade, the fearless star of “River Monsters” took it upon himself to investigate the issue, and try to catch the Ballcutter. After three weeks of searching, Wade finally caught a 40 lbs monster and to everybody’s surprise, the fish had human-like teeth…

After capturing the monster fish, Jeremy declared that:

“They are like human molars and the fish have powerful jaw muscles. They are very deep bodied and solid like a carp, with strong muscles. The Pacu fish uses them to tear off the testicles of unwitting anglers, leaving them to bleed to death.”

Pacu fish are usually found in the Amazon, where they need their teeth to crack into the tough cases of nuts and seeds. The previously vegetarian fish were introduced to Papua New Guinea 15 years ago to increase stocks. They used their special technique to chomp meat due to a lack of suitable vegetation in the waters. So due to lack of proper food, the fist became carnivores, or shall we say, ballnivores…
